Description: The Clovis Music Festival has been rockin’ eastern New Mexico and west Texas since 1987. This year’s festival includes performances by Tommy Allsup, Kevin Montgomery, a Ritchie Valens Tribute, Sting Ray and the Killer Vees, Bobby Vee and the Vees, the Chiffons, Chris Montez, Johnny Preston and the Buddy, Roy and Elvis Tribute. Fans not only experience great rock-n-roll music, they can also enjoy tours of the Norman Petty Studios, a classic car show, motorcycle rally and the opening of the new Clovis Rock-n-Roll Museum. Description: The community of Plainview comes together to celebrate its western heritage with one of the most unique parades around - longhorn cattle driven down the main thoroughfare of town, just like it was done at the turn of the century complete with cowboys on horseback.
