With the nearest Data Center several hours away and those needs in mind, we built a state-of-the-art Data Center that provides colocation space and concurrently maintainable power, as well as data backup and virtual servers. It delivers enhanced security features via redundant generators, UPS, In-Row Cooling Systems, and fiber network redundancy. Also available is an administrative area suitable for disaster recovery operations for small to medium-sized businesses along with an experienced group of IT professionals.

Seasoned CEOs and business owners understand that disaster recovery is of the utmost importance to any business plan. A secure area is provided to our Data Center customers as part of the services purchased from Plateau.

In the event of a theft, fire, or flood at your home office, Data Center clients may reserve this area. Plateau offers its clients the ability to place key employees in our Emergency Operations Room to ensure that business operations continue uninterrupted. This space is physically located within the same secure, weather-hardened area. When it is not reserved for emergency use, general access is available to our Data Center clients.

Backup everything, back up often

Your company's future depends on the survival of your company data. To implement a reliable data backup strategy, our facility is connected by fiber-optic services to its core network. This allows Plateau to offer proper backup solutions, provision the storage or combination of multiple storages, and execute and monitor the backups for your business. Plateau manages the infrastructure behind these backup services, providing 24/7/365 recovery. We also provide regular reporting on your backup environment.

Plateau offers a colocation Remote Hands Support to address a multitude of emergency and routine technical tasks. By partially outsourcing the installation, operation and management of a deployment to Plateau's expert technicians within the Data Center, customers can focus on other important aspects of their business.

Tasks such as recycling device power, verifying power status or reconnecting equipment are difficult to accomplish at a moment's notice, especially when your IT staff is miles away. Plateau's Remote Hands Support performs these simple tasks for you to help mitigate travel time and any associated budget constraints.

Back-Up Power

The Data Center has two Caterpillar generators fed by 500-gallon diesel tanks. Both generators are capable of handling the full load of the Data Center, providing full generator redundancy. When the system recognizes a loss of commercial power, the generator automatically engages and power is immediately transferred, resulting in zero downtime. The Data Center has two fully-redundant electrical rooms, each equipped with a 250 kW Schneider Electric UPS

Fire Suppression

A state-of-the-art fire suppression system utilizes HFC-125, a safe, clean and electrically non-conductive fire suppression agent intended to protect personnel and other high-value assets. The system automatically senses when a fire starts and immediately sends an alarm, warning anyone inside, before it initiates the process of extinguishing the fire through chemical and physical mechanisms without affecting oxygen levels.

Cooling System

The Data Center equipment pods are equipped with redundant Schneider Electric Direct Expansion In-Row cooling systems with integrated monitoring. The system provides temperature monitoring and adapts its cooling output to rectify fluctuations in temperature. The equipment pods utilize hot-aisle containment to further improve cooling efficiency.
